Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State says he has not taken any loan since he assumed office on November 27, 2022.
Adeleke stated this on the second edition of “Ipade Imole”, a forum where he gave stewardship to the folks of the state on Tuesday in Ilesa.
The governor stated his decision not to take any loan to finance projects was in line with his pledge to govern with available resources only
“In all our governance activities so far, let it be known that we’ve never borrowed a kobo.
“That is according to our pledge to manipulate inside our out there sources as we handle the massive liabilities we inherited from the previous government.
“If anyone tells you this administration has borrowed money, tell the person he’s a liar,” he stated.
Speaking on his achievements in the various sectors, Adeleke stated his administration was repositioning the mining sector and had additionally set up a task force to curtail illegal mining within the state.
In health, the governor stated that his administration had renovated and upgraded more than 100 Primary Health Care Centres in the state.
He stated greater than 50,000 individuals had benefited from Imole medical outreach with a free enrolment of 29,000 pensioners within the State Health Insurance Scheme.
Adeleke stated his administration had additionally awarded an N1.3 billion water contract for the rehabilitation of the Ora Water Works Scheme servicing the Igbomina space of the state.
On infrastructure development, the governor stated that his administration was pursuing huge construction of flyover bridges and road dualisation throughout the state
He stated his administration was additionally developing agriculture, women development, youth development, and creative development, amongst others.
“We’re working a pan-Osun government that’s committed to the revival and prosperity of our dear state,” he stated.
