Governor Usman Ododo has alleged sabotage within the abduction of some students of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTEC) Osara, Kogi, around 9pm on Thursday, May 9, whereas they have been preparing for his or her examinations.
Ododo who visited the university campus for assessment stated preliminary investigations point to inner sabotage within the abduction of students within the state.
In accordance with him, the Closed Circuit Tv (CCTV) cameras put in within the college have been switched off on the day of the attack. He also thanked safety operatives for his or her efforts in containing the attack and preventing the invaders from getting access to the hostels.
Ododo stated;
“We installed CCTV cameras in all the classrooms and the entire perimeter of the university campus. But, on the day of the assault, our investigation to date revealed that all the cameras have been switched off.
“Our security agencies are on their heels and the investigation is ongoing. All our students shall return safely and the perpetrators shall be brought to e book.
“I’m right here to see issues myself; to evaluate the situation and also to evaluation the continuing operation that may make sure the secure return of the scholars to the college. What’s most essential now could be the best way to rescue our college students unharmed.
