Nigerian singer, Seyi Vibez recounts a troubling experience of being scammed by someone posing as Wizkid‘s manager whereas seeking to safe a record deal at 13. During a recent interview with Wazobia 95.1 Lagos, the singer revealed that he had all the time dreamed of being signed to Wizkid’s record label, Starboy Leisure, ever since he was 13 years previous.
He recounted his expertise, explaining how he longed to be a part of the Starboy crew and turned to Google to look “find out how to register for Starboy Leisure.” Throughout his search, he discovered a cellphone quantity and known as it. The one who answered claimed to be Wizkid’s supervisor and requested N10,000 for a type.
Trusting their assurances that he could be invited for a screening course of and given the chance to carry out for Wizkid, he bought his cellphone to pay for the shape.
