The spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has warned Nigerians against making comments on social media that they can’t defend.
In a post shared on X, Adejobi reminded Nigerians of the existence of the Cybercrime Prohibition Act, 2015 which provides the court the jurisdiction to sentence anyone found guilty of making social media comments and claims they can’t defend in court.
Adejobi mentioned the police are out for people who make careless and sarcastic comments online and that the police will get such people one by one no matter whose ox is gored.
