The pay-TV firm stated from May 1, customers on the DStv premium bouquet can pay N37,000 as towards the present N29,500, and people on Compact+ would pay N25,000 from N19,800

The event has triggered anger throughout the country as customers lamented the current hardship.
In a post on his official Facebook page on Friday, the OPM founder stated he is not going to renew his final subscription till the price drops.
The post reads, “Millions of Nigerians can no longer meet up with the present value of DStv/GOLD TV subscription due to the present economic reality in Nigeria.

“Ranging from right this moment I shall be looking for options that I shall be watching as a result of basically it’s majorly news and OPM TV which is a 24-hour tv station I watch when I’m chanced.
“But DSTV, NO to the renewal of subscription until prices are reviewed downwards”.
