My dear Muslim brothers and sisters,
As we gather to celebrate Eid-al-Adha, the feast of sacrifice, I need to extend my warmest needs to you all. Might this Sallah convey us all nearer to Allah, to at least one one other, and to our true potentials as people and as a nation.
Amid challenges and uncertainties, allow us to draw energy from our religion and the teachings of the Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him). His unwavering belief in Allah, his braveness, and his willingness to sacrifice for the larger good are objects of inspiration to us all.
As we have a good time, allow us to try to be a supply of hope, consolation, and assist to these round us. Might Allah settle for our prayers, our fasting, and our charity.
Might He grant us the knowledge to stroll in His path, the braveness to face for what is correct, and the grace to be a blessing to our communities.
