Man allegedly beats his girlfriend to stupor in Delta for refusing to abort pregnancy
Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have arrested a 32-year-old man, Ernest Okemute, for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend within the Orokpor community in Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state.
A Nigerian activist, Kelvin Ejumudo, who confirmed the incident in a Facebook post on Sunday, April 21, 2024, alleged that the suspect beat Precious Ekarume who’s pregnant for him, with a belt and stick as a result of she refused to abort the pregnancy.
Based on Mr Ejumudo, the suspect had boasted that nothing would occur to him even when he killed his girlfriend.His Post Read;
“Violence against ladies is Prohibited! One Mr Ernest Okemute 32 years old has beaten his girlfriend, Miss Precious Ekarume in Orokpor community in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta state.”
The boyfriend beat her up because she was pregnant for him and he has forced her to abort the pregnancy and he or she refused and has additionally instructed her to stop talking with a lady in the compound.
She was beaten to stupor by the boyfriend with belt and stick and instructed her nothing will occur even when he kills her.
