A man identified as Onipede Dare allegedly stabbed his wife, Kumapayi Arinola, to death over alleged infidelity in Ekiti State.
The incident occurred at Christ Avenue, within the Adebayo area of Ado-Ekiti on Saturday, April 27, 2024.
Spokesperson for the police within the state, Sunday Abutu, who confirmed the incident on Sunday, said the command has commenced investigations.
“We received data from the children. The incident occurred on Saturday, 27/4/24. Father’s title: Onipede Dare, Mother’s name: Kumapayi Arinola. Police investigating the matter.” Abutu stated.
A supply stated the couple sent the older of their children on an errand then locked themselves within the room and engaged in free-for-all fights.
In the course of the fight, the person stated to be a law enforcement agent, and his wife, who worked in a chemist store, stabbed one another with sharp objects.
