The Lagos State Command of the Nigerian Correctional Service has dismissed reports claiming that incarcerated crossdresser, Idris Okuneye a.ok.a. Bobrisky, is being accommodated in a one-bedroom house for Very Important Persons VIP at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre.
On-line reviews had claimed that Bobrisky, who’s serving a six-month jail sentence for abuse of the naira notes, was occupying a newly built VIP house within the Kirikiri correctional centre.
Nevertheless, in a statement released, the NCoS spokesperson, Rotimi Oladokun, stated the correctional centre had no en-suite style cells.
The assertion reads
“The eye of the Nigerian Correctional Service Lagos State Command has been drawn to some mischievous and deceptive online publications. With out prejudice to NCoS proper to seek legal redress for the libelous publication, outlined are clarifications on the stated points.
The convicted inmate, Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju a.ok.a. Bobrisky is at the moment serving a six-month jail time period for abuse and mutilation of the naira word throughout the custody of the custodial centre within the state.
The Convict is entitled to the reformative and rehabilitative platforms both instructional and/or vocational coaching as offered to all inmates in custody.
Idris has been allotted a shared cell with different convicted inmates. There aren’t any en-suite or ‘one-bedroom flat’ model cells in our Custodial Centre because the cell blocks infrastructure are constructed as shared buildings, to accommodate a number of inmates.
